3M Cold Shrink Insulator 8428-12P, 500-800 kcmil (300-400 mm), 10/case - Cold Shrink Electrical Insulation The 3M Cold Shrink Connector Insulators 8420 and 8430 Series utilize 3M's proprietary cold shrink delivery system, designed for primary electrical insulation of solid dielectric (rubber and plastic) insulated wire and cable splicing rated up to 1000 V. Supplied prestretched on a removable core, the insulator allows easy installation by removing the core after positioning, enabling the product to shrink and form a moisture-tight, durable environmental seal. The specially formulated EPDM material provides live memory action for permanent insulation, with a typical operating temperature range from -40°F to 194°F (-40°C to 90°C). This product is suitable for electrical distributors, lighting solutions, wire and cable applications, and switchgear suppliers requiring reliable low voltage splice insulation.
