It restricts accumulation of ignitable gases or vapors to confine explosive pressure, making it suitable for hazardous locations. This fitting is explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof, and raintight, ideal for use in Class I and II locations. It is commonly supplied by electrical distributors and used in lighting solutions, wire and cable installations, and by switchgear suppliers to ensure safety and compliance in conduit systems.
