It intumesces when exposed to fire, forming an insulating char that prevents the spread of flames, smoke, gas, and water through penetration openings. This product is suitable for use by electrical distributors and switchgear suppliers for sealing penetrations in electrical outlet boxes, conduit, cabling, and other building penetrations, providing reliable firestop and smoke containment solutions.
