Metacaulk Cover Guard Double Decor Fire-Rated Gasket for Electrical Boxes Metacaulk Cover Guard Double Decor is a single-piece fire-rated gasket designed for electrical boxes to comply with the "24-inch rule" in fire-rated assemblies. This product is intended for use by electrical distributors, lighting solutions providers, and switchgear suppliers to enhance fire safety in electrical installations. When exposed to heat, its intumescent material expands and forms a char that seals openings, preventing flame spread and limiting heat transfer to unexposed areas. It is suitable for use with both metal and plastic cover plates and is UL tested for one- and two-hour fire resistance.
