Metacaulk Cover Guard Single Decor Fire-Rated Gasket Metacaulk Cover Guard Single Decor is a fire-rated gasket designed for electrical boxes, providing essential fire protection in rated wall assemblies. This product is used by electrical distributors and switchgear suppliers to meet the "24-inch rule" for steel electrical box penetrations. It is installed on the inside of the cover plate, expanding under heat exposure to form a char that seals openings, prevents flame spread, and limits heat transfer to unexposed areas. Suitable for use with both metal and plastic cover plates, it offers a labor-saving alternative to putty pads without occupying volume inside the electrical box.
